Stone Oak Master Bath Remodel — Before & After
By Rey Trevino · Published 2026-04-21 · 9-day build
A Stone Oak homeowner called us in to rebuild a dated 2000s master bath into a proper spa. Nine working days later, the room had a curbless frameless-glass shower, quartz double vanity, freestanding tub, and floor-to-ceiling large-format tile. This is exactly what went into it — scope, materials, timeline, and price.
Project overview
The existing master bath was roughly 110 square feet with a drop-in tub, framed glass shower on the opposite wall, and a builder-grade double vanity. The homeowners wanted more open feel, a bigger walk-in shower, and a freestanding tub as the focal piece. We reshaped the footprint, kept plumbing on the same wall to control cost, and redrew the floor plan around a curbless linear-drain shower.
Price range on a job like this in Stone Oak (78258) lands at $18,000 to $25,000. The variables are tile grade, glass (semi-frameless vs. full frameless 3/8"), and whether we go curbless. This build landed mid-range. For the full neighborhood overview — schools, HOAs, typical home age, and remodeling trends — see our Stone Oak neighborhood page.

What drives the price
Three line items move a Stone Oak master bath from $18K toward $25K: tile grade (porcelain vs. natural stone like marble), glass style (semi-frameless vs. full frameless with custom hardware), and curbless-vs-standard threshold. Curbless adds waterproofing labor and a structural recess in the subfloor, but it is worth it if you plan to stay in the home long term.
